Carlisle Construction Materials Job Summary This position is responsible for the pulling/picking and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility. This is a 2nd shift position. Duties And Responsibilities
Operates a propane sit-down forklift. Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order. Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials. Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety. Verify piece counts on each pallet and compares to label. Material handling of all products. Follow shipping work orders. Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Highly motivated with good sound work ethics. Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail. Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers. Ability to learn and operate new equipment. Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers). Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size. Required Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving. Working Conditions Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions. Hours: 3pm to 1:30am Days: Monday Thursday Shift Diff: $1.50/hr Physical Requirements LIFTING OR CARRYING 1-10 LBS 11-20 LBS 21-40 LBS 41-50 LBS 51 OR MORE LBS Pushing Or Pulling 1-40 LBS 41-50 LBS 51 OR MORE LBS BENDING OR STOOPING REACHING ABOVE SHOULDER LEVEL DRIVING AUTOMATIC EQUIP.
