Perdue AgriBusiness has an immediate opening for an
Electrical Maintenance Mechanic
at our facility in
Cofield, NC . The essential function of this position is to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to ensure the reliability of our AgriBusiness assets. We are looking for experienced candidates, however we are willing to invest in training via an electrical apprenticeship program for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn. Responsibilities
Installs, repairs and maintains machinery by utilizing both electrical and mechanical skills and knowledge Performs electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance plans to ensure the reliability of assets Install and diagnose basic electric circuits and PLC controlled equipment Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, power transmission systems, and other production-related equipment Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean and safe work area Completing and submitting maintenance reports and preventive maintenance logs Minimum Education
High School or equivalent Electrical or mechanical education or training is preferred Experience Requirements
Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance Experience welding, Mig and Stick Experience with power transmission systems, pumping systems, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics Excellent troubleshooting skills Basic computer skills Good communication skills Good time management skills Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements
Must be able to move throughout assigned areas of responsibility carrying required equipment and tools to perform trouble shooting procedures, repairs and preventive maintenance. Must be able to reach vertical heights up to 150' to perform repairs, preventive maintenance and monitor equipment both open and in confined spaces. Must be able to work outside in all seasonal weather, stand for 8 to 14 hours. Exposure to air born dust, chemicals, such as hexane, caustic soda, butanone, ethanol and aluminum chloride. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
