Position Summary The Electronics Engineering Specialist collaborates closely with manufacturing teams and various engineering disciplines in mechanical and electrical/electronic design aspects. This role reports to the Electrical Integration Manager within the Functional Test group and is classified as non-exempt under the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act). Key Responsibilities Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems and components, including programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment. Plans and executes work with a comprehensive understanding of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories, writing specifications, adhering to electrical codes, and applying the operational principles of electronic equipment. Installs, operates, and decommissions equipment following safety protocols and in compliance with OSHA standards. Alerts appropriate management regarding potential electrical/mechanical issues and associated hazards. Keeps detailed performance and maintenance records for relevant equipment. Conducts preventive maintenance tasks as directed. Assists maintenance personnel in technical troubleshooting efforts. Maintains the TSE Lab Environment. Trains and assists fellow maintenance and technical staff. Manages and enters parts data in the IFS ERP system. Configures and revises CCITest sequences as needed. Provides on-site field support for customer test system installations and repairs. Required Qualifications An Associate's degree in electronics or a related field, supplemented by a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Extensive knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including diagnostic instruments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings (blueprints and schematics) and specifications. A proactive, initiative-driven approach with a sense of urgency. Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Awareness of confidentiality and security regarding intellectual property (ITAR, Prototype). Work Environment and Physical Demands This position entails physical activities such as grasping and manipulation of hands for assembling and operating tools and testing equipment. Regular exposure to manufacturing settings which may include dust, noise, machine chemicals, and typical environmental factors. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs. Majority of time is spent in standard office conditions with some tasks requiring sitting for extended periods, bending, reaching, stooping, and twisting as necessary. Regular encounters with moving parts and vibration; potential risk of electrical shock. This job description outlines key responsibilities and may not encompass all tasks assigned. The wage range is $26 to $35 per hour. The hiring manager will finalize the starting wage within this range based on the successful applicant's qualifications.
