What You'll Do

This role drives sales activities for Principal Funds Distribution throughout Des Moines, Kansas City and Omaha. This position partners closely with the Internal Wholesaler and Sr. Director within territory for collective success in growing advisor relationships. Accountable for achieving sales targets and managing broker dealer relationships within all channels covering our ETF's, Separately Managed Accounts and Mutual Funds.

Other responsibilities will include:

Develop, recommend and implement sales plans, activity reports and rotation schedules with a focus on growing market share

May provide input on marketing, product development, shareholder/broker communications and integration of campaigns with broker dealers and fund wholesaling teams

Highest level of integrity and presentation skills

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required and 2+ years sales specific industry experience (investment products, capital markets, partnering with advisors).

FINRA licensing required including SIE or equivalent and series 7

Series 63 required within 45 days

Advanced designations preferred (eg, CFP®, CFA®, CIMA®, CAIA®)

Excellent knowledge of investment products and financial markets required

Strong interpersonal skills, consultative skills, advisor management expertise, and analytical analysis are required

Must have strong presentation, and oral and written communication skills

Good training and motivational skills are necessary

Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Travel required, including overnight stays

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$71250 - $101000 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
