About the Position
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for utilizing a comprehensive skillset to perform installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all ERMCO manufacturing equipment. The role requires commitment to upholding ERMCO's core values and aligning with the organization's strategic goals to ensure operational excellence and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
What you will do
As a Maintenance Technician at ERMCO, you will perform routine preventative maintenance on both production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems such as motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and pneumatics. You will conduct electrical diagnostics and basic installations on circuits up to 480V, working with motors, sensors, and control panels. Additionally, you will assist in PLC troubleshooting, including fault diagnosis, I/O verification, and program resets-while programming knowledge is beneficial, it is not required. You'll also be expected to diagnose and resolve issues involving VFDs, relays, and safety circuits. Prompt response to equipment breakdowns is essential to minimize downtime. All maintenance activities must be documented in logs or a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is a key part of the role, along with availability for scheduled weekend or call-in shifts with at least 24 hours' notice when production demands arise.

Necessary Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience Ability to communicate effectively and understand both written and verbal instructions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure. Mechanical repair and electrical troubleshooting skills required. Experience working safely with 120V-480V circuits. Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Demonstrated knowledge of proper lifting techniques. Capable of grasping, reaching, and handling tools, equipment, and materials. Skilled in using measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to operate overhead hoists and lift-assist equipment. Physically able to: Lift and push items weighing 75+ lbs and pull items up to 60 lbs. Able to stand and walk frequently throughout the shift. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, reach, or kneel. Visual requirements include: 20/40 vision (with or without corrective lenses), normal peripheral vision of at least 70 degrees and depth perception and ability to adjust focus. You must comply with all plant safety policies and department-specific safety rules. Required to wear all designated personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety-toed shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves and hearing protection. Preferred Qualifications:
