Job Description
We are seeking skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technicians to join our residential service team. This role is ideal for technicians who excel at diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems in occupied homes. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues in residential systems (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, etc.).
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and system tune-ups.
Install and upgrade HVAC components, including thermostats, air handlers, and condensers.
Communicate clearly with homeowners about system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain accurate service records and complete job documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as an HVAC technician in residential settings.
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills with HVAC systems.
EPA certification (Type II or Universal).
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with smart thermostats and home automation systems.
Familiarity with ductless mini-split systems and zoning controls.
NATE certification is a plus.
Work Environment
Primarily residential service calls in occupied homes.
Fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Occasional emergency or after-hours service may be required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
