Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to manage all aspects of our HR operations. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and a passion for building a supportive and productive workplace culture.

Position Description, Essential Duties (other duties as assigned):
Essential duties include:
Responsible for administrative requirements of the recruiting and hiring process including job postings, job descriptions, reviewing applications, applicant tracking, preparation of job offer letters, and coordinating background/fingerprint checks. Responsible for all facets of the onboarding process and required documentation for new hires using HRIS system. Coordinate with the hiring manager(s) to develop orientation plans for new hires. Develop and implement performance appraisal systems, provide feedback, and support employee development. Track completion of performance reviews. Track HR metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to management. Order Conservancy staff uniform pieces, including name tags and staff shirts as needed. Assist the marketing team by ensuring the staff listings on the Conservancy website up to date. Ensure the organization complies with labor laws and regulations. Keep personnel boards and HR related postings at all facilities up to date and in compliance with Conservancy, state and federal policy and regulations. Assist the IT team to ensure that the Conservancy's internal staff group e-lists are updated and reviewed for accuracy as needed. Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive work environment in consultation with the VP of Administration. Maintain updated job descriptions for all Conservancy positions and verify their compliance with current job description template. Work closely with the VP of Administration in the development and communication of Conservancy policies and procedures. Work closely with the VP of Administration in the development and administration of training initiatives and presentations. Research legislation that may impact Conservancy staff. Track employees paid time off and employment history. Maintain accurate employee files in compliance with required documentation. Work closely with the VP of Administration and medical broker in the annual benefit open enrollment process as required. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. Assist the VP of Administration with special projects, initiatives and duties as assigned. Provide excellent customer service to all Conservancy employees. Recommend solutions to personnel issues. Attend and take minutes at the Conservancy's board level HR Committee meetings. Facilitate all facets of the offboarding process, including return of Conservancy and National Park Service property and required documentation for employee termination. Assist in identifying, researching and implementing new and/or updated personnel and HR related systems, policies and procedures. Assist in preparation and administration of personnel related budgets items such as staff welfare and employee wellbeing. Work closely with the VP of Administration to plan and facilitate all-staff meetings. Be an active member of Conservancy staff committees and help with planning events and special projects. Employee must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential duties/functions as outlined in the position's job description. Status/Pay/Benefits:
Full-Time, non-exempt, hourly wage starting at $26.00 commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, a fully vested 403(b) retirement plan, and generous leave time.

Primary Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field: A relevant degree is essential to ensure the candidate has the foundational knowledge required for the role. Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP): Certifications demonstrate a commitment to the profession and a higher level of expertise. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources: Experience in HR roles is crucial for understanding the complexities of the job. Experience with HR software and tools: Familiarity with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and other HR-related software is often required. For mileage reimbursement the driver must have a valid Driver's License and evidence of insurability. Reliable transportation is required.
