Operating Room Surgical Technologist II

We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for experienced Surgical Technologists seeking to thrive in a dynamic Operating Room environment. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of surgical technologist experience, particularly in multiple specialties.
This position plays a crucial role as we offer a variety of surgical services, including General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Orthopedics, Neuro & Orthopedic Spine, and more. The Operating Room operates 8 rooms from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with additional late shifts until 7:30 PM and coverage through call time.
Position Details:
Working hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Participate in call shifts averaging 4 to 6 over a 6-week period
Call response time: 45 minutes
Incentives:
This position qualifies for our Operating Room Incentive Program, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, a commitment incentive of up to $10,000, and possible relocation assistance of up to $10,000. The Surgical Technologist II collaborates closely with surgeons and registered nurses to ensure the safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures. Your expertise in sterile techniques and knowledge of surgical procedures will be essential in maintaining patient safety and supporting the surgical team. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive surgical scrub duties across all service areas. Ensure proper maintenance, assembly, handling, and sterilization of specialty instruments. Follow and uphold strict aseptic techniques, proactively preventing contamination. Conduct surgical counts and manage discrepancies according to policies. Maintain sterile fields and support the organization of instruments and supplies prior to procedures. Assist surgeons by demonstrating knowledge of anatomy relevant to the surgical procedures. Mentor and train new hires and peers, contributing to their professional development. Identify and report any defective equipment or supplies, assisting in the upkeep of operating rooms. Participate in research data collection and assist nurses in the intraoperative phase. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing Program. BLS certification and either CST or TS-C certification required. 3+ years of relevant surgical technologist experience. Strong communication skills and ability to function effectively in a team.
