About the Opportunity
Join a well-established manufacturing leader in Grand Rapids as a Maintenance Technician on the day shift. In this hands-on role, you'll support the maintenance team by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment critical to production operations. What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on in-plant equipment to maximize production capacity. Conduct hoist, pump, and equipment maintenance/repair and support new equipment installation. Complete basic electrical, plumbing, and building repairs. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, with opportunity to work on PLC systems. Carry out lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and operate job-specific equipment safely. Understand and implement ISO 14001 EMS and 9001 QMS policies, including assisting with internal audits. Follow all OSHA and internal safety guidelines while maintaining a clean, safe workplace. Preferred Skills
Hands-on equipment repair experience. Strong electrical maintenance or PLC troubleshooting experience (highly preferred). Forklift operation. Basic computer, math, and communication skills. Ability to perform safe lifting and physical work. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. Relevant college-level or trade school courses. Ability to stand, bend, or twist for up to 80% of the shift and lift up to 70 lbs. Comfortable working in a hot/humid manufacturing environment.
