Position:
Supply Chain Lead
Location:
Portland. ORE on-site
Position Description:
DZYNE is looking for a Supply Chain Lead that will be responsible for Procurement, Logistics, Inventory, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), and some facility duties coordination. This SCM lead will be the site hands on subject matter expert for all procurement activities. This is a site critical multifunctional role needed to support Engineering and Operations for receiving and inventory to anticipate and fulfill customer specific requirements and procurement.
Responsibilities: • Develop and issue RFP/RFQ and perform competitive bid analysis. • Plans, coordinates, and executes procurement activities for the company. • Negotiates terms & conditions, lead times, and pricing with suppliers. • Develops and maintains procurement process documentation. • Using MRP, collects and analyzes data on current orders, production levels, and Purchase Order demands for materials. • Responsible for the flow of materials from suppliers and business partners. • Manages and tracks Non-Conforming Material (NCM) Inventory and responds to receiving discrepancies. Facilitates the timely return of discrepant material for repair, replacement, or credit using the NCM or Return to Vendor (RTV) process for supplier returns. • Track, develop, report, and improve procurement KPIs and Supplier metrics. • Establish supplier partnerships, including governance (through quarterly bi-directional reviews). • Provides support for physical inventory, cycle counts, and inventory audits. • Supplier management including communication, supply chain optimization, performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, etc.), and negotiations. • Responsible for continuing programs of exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery. • Issues POs for Non-Recurring Expenses (NRE) and "Other" expenses. Processes purchase requisitions in a time manner. • Manages cross-functional supplier qualifications / audits. • Works with engineering on new part creation in ERP system and updating parts information in the ERP system. • Support the receiving and import & export of materials within the requirements of EAR/ITAR/CBP regulations. • Within the NPI process, collaborates with Program/Project Management, Engineering, and Production to align procurement strategies with project needs. • Experience working in an engineering environment as a support specialist for NPI.
Required Skills: • Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation. • Broad knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, supplier management and negotiation. • Experience in MRP/ERP systems environments. (knowledge of Navision a plus) • Proficient with Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with team orientation. • Understanding of FAR/DFARS/ITAR/EAR and other export control requirements. • Experience working in an engineering environment as a support specialist for NPI.
Education/Certifications: • Associate's degree in business, Supply Chain, or Technical, or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience • ASCM/APICS or CPM/ISM Certification preferred • 7+ years buyer, supply chain and/or operations experience in manufacturing (Aerospace or Defense preferred)

Travel: • Less than 25%. Overnight stays may be required. Travel by car or air may be required for on-site visits with potential or existing suppliers.

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouses and other facilities.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work. May be performing physical activities including but not limited to climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.

It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to have a legal right to work in the United States and be eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and DoD Clearance.
Salary: $92,000-$113,000 annually
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
