Objective
The primary function of the Quality Manager is to perform inspections of products and record quality results and when applicable, oversee Inspectors performing the same.
Responsibilities and Duties
Determine that all technical data on all articles maintained or altered by the Repair Station are secured and kept current with latest revisions. This data will include Repair Station process specification on limited rating specialized services, manufacturer's maintenance and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, part specifications FAA airworthiness directives, related FAA data, and other technical data used by the Repair Station.
Performs inspection of aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to government (both FAA and NAVAIR) and company standards and specifications
Inspects the installation, repair and operation of electrical wiring, electronic systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft
Inspects adjustments, structural and electrical repairs or modifications made on the aircraft in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance Technical Orders (T.O.), TCTO's, work orders, work cards, aircraft structural repair manuals and modifications
Maintain the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual and Training Manual
Perform Receiving Inspections on all incoming raw materials and purchased parts
Perform machined parts inspections, weld inspections, and electrical inspections
Proficient in blueprint reading / interpretation and shop mathematics

Competencies
Must possess 5-10 years' experience in corporate aviation as an A&P mechanic.
Customer focus-naturally outgoing/extroverted
Must be able to work in and around confined spaces such as fuel tanks
Able to use inspection measuring devices as well as the use of mirror and flashlight to accomplish inspections
Must be able to climb, kneel, stoop and stand to accomplish inspections
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company (Requires clean driving record)
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Products
Basic mathematical knowledge
Bi-linqual plus
Results driven
Strong time management skills
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Maintenance Director.
Work Environment
This position works inside a hangar and outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:
Communicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and through radio communications
Position requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
Good physical condition, frequent lifting, carrying weight up to 35 pounds, and occasional pushing/pulling weights up to 100 pounds.
Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
Outside work in all types of weather conditions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-exempt position.
This position includes shift work which requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED and 10 years minimum experience in the aviation industry
Possess an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
Inspection Authorization (IA) Certificate preferred
Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9110 Quality Management System standards
Working knowledge of FOD & Tool Control, Technical Orders (T.O.), TCTO's, FAA FARs and Aircraft Maintenance Information Systems
Able to use inspection measuring devices as well as the use of mirror and flashlight to accomplish inspections
Must be able to climb, kneel, stoop and stand to accomplish inspections
Must be able to work flexible and extended hours
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to pass a background check
Participate in DOT drug and alcohol screening program
