Facilities Maintenance Technician
to support day-to-day plant and office facility operations in
Chelmsford, MA . This
1-year contract-to-hire
role involves performing basic building repairs, preventative maintenance, and general handyman tasks in support of aerospace and defense programs.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in facilities repair and maintenance, basic carpentry/painting, and troubleshooting equipment or facility issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
routine repairs and maintenance
of plant and office facilities and equipment Conduct
basic carpentry, painting, and building repairs
as needed Assist with
preventative and corrective maintenance
activities Troubleshoot facility or equipment issues and report findings to supervisor Perform
routine inspections
to identify repair and maintenance requirements Handle
general maintenance and handyman tasks , including trash pick-up and other assigned duties Work independently or as part of a team to ensure facility readiness and safety Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship with
Interim or Active Secret Clearance
(required at submittal) High School Diploma or equivalent (no degree required) 2+ years of
maintenance experience 2+ years of
facilities repair and upkeep
experience 2+ years of
general maintenance/handyman
experience Ability to use hand tools and perform basic repair tasks with minimal supervision Work Environment & PPE:
Steel-toe shoes required (candidate provides) All other PPE provided on-site
