Description:
The position works to check and maintain grammar and diction in all articles before publishing.
Duties: Use the AP Manual of Style to produce and implement standards for headlines, abbreviations, punctuation, etc., which shall be applied to Criterion articles. Review articles and/or assign to Section Editors articles before publication. Work on fixed content deadlines, after which content will be reviewed by Editor-in-Chief before publication. Oversee and communicate with Section Editors. Stipulations:
Must be a registered La Sierra Student Must complete Student Authorization Form with Silvia Stenner (Office of Student Life) Must have worked as a Criterion Section Editor for at least one quarter. Expectations:
Editors are not to exceed more than eight hours clocked in per-pay period (2-week pay period) Applying for Criterion:
Complete HR standard application Upload documents, resume, and writing sample required (cover letter and any other materials are optional). Please note that writing samples should follow these guidelines:
It should be a non-creative piece. Something written for a class is preferable. It should be roughly 2-3 pages. It can not be something that was written for Criterion with the editorial help of the Criterion staff.

Wage Range:
$16.50 - $16.70 per hour
