Join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our building facilities. This position involves performing a variety of non-technical maintenance tasks related to plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, without requiring formal licensure. You'll also have the chance to engage in tasks across several trades, such as carpentry, painting, and locksmithing. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor, maintain, and conduct standard repairs on electrical systems including fixtures, switches, and outlets; aid licensed electricians with non-technical repairs. Oversee the performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems; perform standard repairs and maintenance tasks like cleaning and adjusting system controls. Maintain hot equipment such as fryers and ovens. Monitor plumbing systems for maintenance needs, performing repairs and cleaning obstructed lines; assist licensed plumbers when necessary. Conduct carpentry tasks including drywall installation/repair, window replacement, and painting. Assist with the maintenance of water treatment and storage systems. Perform general maintenance tasks, including custodial duties and trash removal. Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment. Repair kitchen equipment as needed. Promote safety and environmental best practices in the workplace. Document maintenance activities and keep thorough records of work performed. Handle snow removal during winter months. Complete miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of relevant experience. Completion of PPD Trades Training Program and at least 6 months of relevant experience. HVAC - EPA certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Proficient in PCs and Windows-based software. Record maintenance competence. Ability to follow specific instructions and safety procedures. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Capability to repair appliances and HVAC equipment. Understanding of building trades. Completion of OSHA 10 course; EPA Type 2 and Type 3 certifications; NATE certification. Conditions of Employment Possession of a valid driver’s license is required for this role.
