Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Cardiovascular Technologist, where you will play a pivotal role in performing advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using state-of-the-art echo, ultrasound, and Doppler equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Exemplify the OneCHRISTUS Competencies, demonstrating leadership in self-management and collaboration with others.
Conduct ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in diagnosing circulation disorders.
Potentially perform therapeutic procedures, including pseudoaneurysm compression.
Accurately record and maintain test data while preparing preliminary interpretations of results.
Depending on departmental needs, perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and various vascular ultrasound procedures.
Assist physicians in procedures such as biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization.
Qualifications:
Education and Skills:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
