WAREHOUSE CUSTOMER SERVICE CLERK
Remedy Staffing is pleased to work with some of the finest companies in the Eastern Iowa. Our client is looking for a qualified shipping/receiving clerk to join their team in Walford, Iowa.
The ideal candidate must have computer experience, familiarity with WMS software, appreciate the importance of good customer service, familiarity with managing freight movement, entering transactions and customer communication.
First Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, plus possible overtime
Hourly Rate: $19.00
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Work with customers to coordinate shipments to and from warehouse to meet delivery requirements Generate associated documents including warehouse pick sheets, packing lists, and bills of lading Receive inbound freight and verify contents; reconcile product received with packing list information to identify any discrepancies Create and apply labels to properly identify parts per customer specifications Communicate with customer and carriers for transporting customer orders and receipts including greeting drivers as they arrive, communicating loading and unloading instructions, and signing necessary documents Promptly communicate any problems to the customer associated with outbound shipments and inbound receipts, including product availability, damage, inventory discrepancies, and carrier issues Furnish customer with inventory reports such as stock status, transaction history, and tracing information as requested Enter inventory transactions into the warehouse management system (WMS) or customer-specific data system and manage the integrity of inventory accuracy and file all paper documents accurately Effectively communicate with warehouse operations to ensure proper scheduling of activities including inbound and outbound freight, physical inventories, cycle counts, and special customer requests/projects Must be willing to follow all site GMP rules Keep warehouse management informed of customer feedback and any signs of customer dissatisfaction Additional duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The warehouse environment can be dusty, dry, and humid, with temperature ranges between 40 - 90 degrees, in warm and cold months Some odors might be present dependent upon the product in storage Food allergens may be present in the warehouse Must be able to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to walk, stoop, hear and talk on a regular basis Must be able to lift-up to fifty pounds on occasion Must work in a safe manner and be aware of hazards in the warehouse, such as fork truck traffic QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be an organized individual who is able to handle multiple tasks at a time while effectively communicating with customers and warehouse operations with both written and verbal communication Must be able to identify and resolve problems as they come up Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is a must Requires manual dexterity to work with keyboard and ability to read and write accurate numbers and product labeling and sample production Prior customer service and/or warehouse experience preferred OTHER EXPERIENCE:
General office experience, including telephone and computer skills Solid foundation in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required Prior experience with Dynaway AX Asset Managment Software a plus Use of Zebra Printer plus other printers and copy machines Must be comfortable using 2-way Radio and multi-line phone system
