Job Overview
A Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the facilities and equipment used in the operations of a facility. They work with various tools and perform tasks such as electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, and equipment inspections.
Responsibilities
Performing routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and diagnose problems
Performing electrical repairs and maintenance
Performing plumbing repairs and maintenance
Performing HVAC maintenance and repairs
Performing carpentry work on buildings and equipment as required
Performing handyman services
Ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained according to safety regulations and standards
Requirements
Education and Experience
5 years of experience in facility maintenance and repair
Skills
Good knowledge of safety regulations and standards
Strong mechanical and technical skills
Ability to use various tools and equipment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Working Conditions
Facility Technicians work in various settings, including offices, manufacturing facilities, and warehouses and other businesses. They may work indoors or outdoors, and may be required to work in confined spaces or at heights. They may also be required to work on call, evenings, and weekends.

Must live in Staten Island, NY.
MUST HAVE A CLEAN VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
Any previous expereince with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, hvac, roofing, laborer, demolition, etc., preferred.
Reliable worker
Must be flexible with hours (weekends possible)
Able to handle heavy lifting
Ability to be on feet for long periods of time
