Orbis Surgery Center is a AAAHC accredited, multi-site ambulatory surgery center that delivers advanced, patient-focused surgical care across vascular, dialysis access, and pain management specialties. We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee two surgery centers in the Houston area. This is a high-impact role for a strategic operator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about leading teams, scaling operations, and driving measurable growth.

What You'll Do

Lead day-to-day operations of two ambulatory surgery centers. Track key operational metrics to ensure profitability and efficiency. Develop and execute growth initiatives including new service line development, facility expansion, and physician partnerships. Oversee compliance and accreditation readiness for AAAHC, CMS, OSHA, and CLIA standards. Collaborate with the Medical Director and Nurse Manager to elevate patient outcomes and staff performance. Recruit, train, and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive operational excellence through smart budgeting, efficient resource allocation, and strategic vendor management. Lead quality improvement and safety initiatives to maintain top-tier standards of care. Serve as liaison between centers, physicians, and community partners to enhance Orbis' reputation and network presence.

What to Bring

Bachelor's degree required (healthcare administration, business, or related field); MBA or MHA preferred. 5+ years of experience in ASC or outpatient operations management (multi-site experience strongly preferred). Proven track record in business development, service line expansion, and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams. Understanding of AAAHC, CMS, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards. Willingness to travel up to 50% between Houston-area locations. Competency in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Teams) Experience with EHRs and Salesforce preferred.
