3:45p - 2a Key responsibilities
Receiving and storing:
Inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and storing materials in designated locations. Order fulfillment:
Picking, packing, and preparing materials for shipment or production orders based on readouts like customer orders or pick sheets. Movement and distribution:
Moving materials by hand or using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transport items to and from storage, production areas, or loading docks. Inventory management:
Maintaining accurate inventory records through data entry and regular cycle counts. Equipment operation:
Safely operating machinery like forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment. Required skills and qualifications
Physical ability:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 pounds or more). Equipment operation:
Proficiency or willingness to be trained to operate equipment like forklifts, often requiring OSHA certification. Organizational skills:
Strong ability to track inventory and organize materials efficiently. Attention to detail:
Crucial for accuracy in picking orders and managing inventory data. Communication:
Ability to read and understand work orders and communicate with team members. Basic education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is often required
