General Job Description
The Receptionist / Mail Room Clerk provides essential front-desk, administrative, and mailroom support to ensure smooth daily office operations. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals beginning a career in office administration. The role involves managing a high volume of calls, greeting visitors, handling mail and package distribution, and assisting with a variety of clerical and support tasks. The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of incoming calls, route messages, and provide courteous assistance to callers. Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and friendly manner. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare and track outgoing shipments. Maintain organized and clean reception and mailroom areas. Perform data entry, document processing, and general filing. Assist with ordering and maintaining mailroom and office supplies. Support various departments with administrative tasks and special projects. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall office operations. Minimum Education

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong verbal communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle a high volume of calls while managing multiple priorities efficiently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace tools. Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented with a positive attitude. Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing desk or mailroom tasks. Frequent lifting and carrying of packages or office supplies (up to 25 lbs). Regular bending, reaching, and walking throughout the office and mail areas. Manual dexterity to operate phones, copiers, computers, and mail-handling equipment. License Required
