Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings is hiring immediately for a Utility Worker for its envelope manufacturing facility in Chicopee, MA for 2nd shift: 3pm -- 11pm.
Utility Worker Pay & Schedule $18-19/hr depending on experience + $1/hr 2nd shift premium Training may take place on 1st shift (7am -- 3pm) Schedule is Monday -- Friday (Saturdays required during busy season/business needs). Utility Worker Responsibilities & Daily Duties: Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near warehouse, plant, or work site using warehouse equipment -- forklift (sit down/stand up), pallet jack, etc. Prepares products for shipment; keeps record of goods shipped. Counts and compares quantity and identification numbers of units against order. Prepares identifying information (labeling) and shipping instructions on containers. Notifies supervisor of major incidents of damage to materials received or scheduled to be shipped. Receives, unpacks, and examines goods shipped and verifies completeness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and other records; route incoming goods to departments. Other duties as assigned/required. Utility Worker Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-
This position requires grasping objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination, hand/eye and foot coordination, the utilization of color vision and depth perception. This position requires prolonged standing/sitting, regularly lift, carry, walk, climb, bend, extend and reach. This position requires one to accept and understand verbal instructions. High School diploma or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis. A minimum of 3 years related experience preferred. Valid driver's license and forklift/power truck certification preferred. Requires thorough knowledge of the shipping/receiving function and warehouse operations. Requires data entry, math, computer and good written and verbal communication skills. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with various levels of the organization/vendors. Solid attention to detail; reliable. Attention to detail is required.
