Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
The role involves operating propane or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forks and clamps. You will be responsible for lifting, stacking, or moving products, equipment, or materials between loading, processing, and storage areas in a warehouse or factory.
Responsibilities
Operate industrial trucks to lift, stack, or move materials.
Drive and control lifting apparatus using levers, steering wheel, and pedals.
Stage loads for transport by stacking, arranging, and securing them.
Position forks and other lifting devices under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, rolls, products, or materials and transport them to designated areas.
Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
Supply production with materials as needed.
Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Tend and replenish automatic shrink bell.
Inventory materials and record weights and other production data.
Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against records.
Perform routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift.
Ability to operate an electric pallet jack.
Capability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus).
Basic arithmetic skills and ability to interpret bar graphs.
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Skill in solving practical problems with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred manufacturing experience.
2-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
Excellent attendance record.
Ability to work independently and perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Work Environment
The facility operates 24/7 with 2 openings on the 3rd shift. It is not climate-controlled and has about 160 employees. Shifts are 12 hours: 3 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off. First shift is from 6:45 am to 7 pm, and third shift is from 6:45 pm to 7 am. Safety is a priority, requiring steel toe boots. We provide gloves, ear plugs, and safety glasses.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
