United States [Remote] The Opportunity S.T. Cotter Turbine Services, Inc., a Fox Innovation & Technologies company, is seeking a Project Manager to play a critical role in planning, executing, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. This position serves as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring that all contractual, technical, and financial obligations are met. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex scopes of work, and drive continuous improvement across all project phases. Responsibilities Proposal & Planning
Receive and review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and coordinate internal estimating efforts. Analyze scopes of work, contract terms, and client specifications to identify requirements, risks, and opportunities. Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to develop cost estimates, schedules, and execution strategies. Attend pre-bid meetings or job walks as required and ensure all proposal deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Support subcontractor and vendor selection by soliciting quotes and negotiating terms within approved budgets. Lead pre-outage and project planning meetings, documenting key action items and assigning responsibilities. Develop contingency plans and integrate lessons learned from previous projects to mitigate risk and enhance performance.
Execution & Delivery
Oversee all phases of project execution from mobilization through completion, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards. Coordinate personnel, equipment, and subcontractor activities to meet schedule and cost objectives. Track project progress using established KPIs, proactively managing risks, issues, and variances. Maintain accurate cost control, forecasting, and reporting to support margin performance and cash flow targets. Ensure all Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards are implemented and upheld. Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and the customer to report progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment.
Closeout & Continuous Improvement
Confirm project completion, ensuring all contractual deliverables and documentation are finalized. Oversee timely and accurate invoicing and financial reconciliation. Conduct lessons learned reviews with project and site teams to capture improvement opportunities. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback through established evaluation processes. Prepare and distribute post-outage or project summary reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred. Valid driver’s license without restrictions and ability to travel to job sites as needed is required. At least 5 years in project management or project lead capacity within a relevant industry is required. Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary projects within power generation, rotating equipment, or process industry environments. Background in outage planning, scheduling, training, risk management, and execution preferred (MS Project or Primavera). Project closeout and lessons learned integration in a heavy industrial setting is preferred. Prior experience in a power plant or nuclear operations is highly desirable. Strong commercial acumen and contract management skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project; SAP experience preferred. Ability to analyze complex technical and financial data to drive decision-making. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Exposure to industrial and nuclear environments with frequent travel between facilities, including job site walks, heat exposure, stairs, and PPE requirements. Requires sitting, standing, climbing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Occasional extended hours based on operational or customer needs.
