Payroll Manager
to lead and oversee end-to-end payroll operations across the U.S. and Canada. This role offers the opportunity to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, drive process improvements, and provide strategic guidance to the payroll team. Reporting to senior HR and finance leadership, the Payroll Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver efficient and compliant payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
of the
Payroll Manager:
Oversee and manage biweekly and monthly payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Maintain payroll schedules, reconciliations, and reporting cycles in accordance with company policy and legal requirements Ensure compliance with all payroll tax, reporting, and regulatory obligations in both countries Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure payroll data integrity and seamless system integrations Supervise and develop payroll team members, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback Identify and implement process and system improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency Manage relationships with payroll vendors, auditors, and government agencies Monitor key payroll metrics and provide reporting and analysis to leadership Stay current on payroll legislation and regulatory changes impacting operations
Requirements
of the
Payroll Manager:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll laws and tax compliance Proficiency in
ADP Workforce Now
and/or
ADP GlobalView Experience with
Oracle HCM Cloud
preferred Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, and data analysis) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex payroll operations
Preferred Qualifications:
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification
