We are seeking an experienced and results-driven

Commercial Construction Contract and Procurement Manager

to join our Design and Construction team in Houston. This role will report directly to the VP of Construction Services and is responsible for leading the procurement, sourcing, and contract management for construction materials, services, and contractors for new builds, remodels, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in construction procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation, with a focus on cost efficiency, operational excellence, and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement and Sourcing Leadership

Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with construction project goals and company objectives. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to forecast and meet sourcing needs. Supplier and Contractor Management

Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, contractors, and equipment vendors. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure competitive rates and high-quality standards. Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and project timelines. Identify alternative suppliers to reduce risk and ensure continuity. Review contracts to ensure corporate policies and standards are maintained. Project Support and Execution

Oversee sourcing of materials, equipment, and services for new builds, renovations, and expansions. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules. Collaborate with project teams to ensure materials meet specifications and quality standards. Budgeting and Cost Management

Work with finance to develop budgets and ensure procurement stays within financial limits. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines. Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to adjust sourcing strategies. Market Research and Innovation

Research industry trends, emerging suppliers, and new technologies. Provide insights on innovative construction materials, methods, and best practices. Team Leadership and Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and train procurement team members. Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and project managers. Build strong relationships with external vendors and contractors. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in construction sourcing, procurement, or supplier management. Experience with commercial new builds, remodels, and construction projects. Strong negotiation, contract management, and communication skills. Deep understanding of construction timelines, materials, and procurement best practices. Management experience of at least 5 years. Professional certifications such as CPSM or PMP are a plus. Experience sourcing specialized equipment for commercial construction is preferred. Why Join Us:
