Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting and auditing.
*Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
*Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
*Coordinate and lead financial audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external requirements.
*Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to support company objectives and growth.
*Manage cash flow, working capital and financial risk, including developing strategies to optimize liquidity and profitability.
*Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance environment and providing professional development opportunities.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering and procurement to align financial goals with business strategies.
*Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision making and strategic planning.
*Monitor and enforce compliance with government contracts and regulations, particularly those related to defense and aerospace manufacturing.
Implement and maintain robust accounting software systems (SAP experience is a plus), ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
*Present financials to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
*CPA (Certified Public Accountant) required
*MBA (Master of Business Administration) preferred
*A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance with a focus on defense/aerospace manufacturing or related industries.
*Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the aerospace and defense sectors.
*Strong leadership and team management skills.
*In-depth experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly preferred.
*Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leadership and other departments.
*Experience with government contracting and compliance (FARS, DFARS, CAS, etc.) required.
