About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a VP of Financial Reporting to significantly contribute to the strategic growth of our subsidiaries and joint ventures. The successful candidate will be pivotal in the timely preparation of SEC financial reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and earnings call supplements. This role will involve engaging with external auditors, executives, legal teams, and investor relations to ensure our quarterly and annual financial reports are accurate and compliant. Additionally, you will manage ad hoc reporting, perform financial analysis, and supervise various aspects of internal and external audit examinations related to financial accounting and reporting.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and hold an active CPA license. With 5-7 years of experience in public accounting or corporate financial reporting, you should have a strong understanding of SEC reporting standards and U.S. GAAP principles, along with experience in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, and familiarity with reporting platforms like Workiva/WDesk is advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and possess strong communication skills, enabling collaboration both independently and within a team. Experience in the real estate, asset management, or financial services sectors is highly desirable.
