Job Summary
Operates a forklift to load, unload, pick, put-away, consolidate, stack and stage products to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks and storage areas
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Operates a forklift to load, unload, pick, put-away, consolidate, stack and stage products Identify inventory issues and communicate issues to management Assist in performing inventory audits and annual physical inventory counts Inspect product for damage and communicate irregularities to management Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area Maintain warehouse security Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials or product materials accordingly. Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items. Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads as necessary; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas. Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor. Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas. Reports equipment service needs to supervisor as necessary Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge and ability to operate a forklift Basic math and reading skills Computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Excel Critical thinking, multi-tasking and troubleshooting skills Attention to detail Must be able to work independently Ability to move and lift up to 50-pound wooden pallet or skid Attention to detail Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work Schedule: 7:00pm-7:00am, 12-hour shifts (36 / 48 hours per week alternating), which includes days, weekends, holidays and overtime. Ability to operate a forklift Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness Ability to move and lift up to 50-pound wooden pallet or skid This position primarily works in a warehouse environment Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 60% of shift, walk extended distances, ascend/descend stairs as necessary, close/distance vision, reaching with hands and arms Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/GED Forklift experience preferred
