The Audit Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the franchisee audit program. They will engage outside firms to audit and investigate franchisee sales data, operational procedures, financial statements, royalty payments, and business processes to ensure compliance with franchise agreements and provide strategic recommendations to management based on audit findings. A typical day for you will include:
Serve as the primary liaison between franchise business owners, outside auditors, and internal departments regarding all franchise audit matters. Manage outside auditor relationships and evaluate auditor performance. Coach and advise franchisees on reporting compliance and proper financial record-keeping. Identify, collect, and independently analyze complex information (sales data, financial statements, royalty payments, etc.) using various sources and tools. Develop and present reports providing management with objective assessments and actionable recommendations regarding franchisee reporting compliance. (Required qualifications)
Experience: Experience managing projects, preferably projects involving contracts or financial statements, is required.
A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience is required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Demonstrated experience reading, understanding, and interpreting complex contracts.
Skills: Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills, with the proven ability to analyze large data sets, draw relevant conclusions, and make independent, educated decisions.
Organized, detailed, and accurate in all aspects of work.
Energetic self-starter with a high degree of initiative and persistence, possessing the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Resilient and deadline-driven, with the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build effective working relationships.
Ability to manage competing projects and high-level tasks by collaborating and coordinating with internal and external resources to accomplish objectives.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Schedule / in-office requirements:
Hybrid working model; Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday/Friday from home.
