Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held Founded 2017 Employees 51-200 About the Role We are seeking a visionary Director of Banking Operations to spearhead the launch of a comprehensive, ethical digital banking and neobank offering. This key role involves designing and executing the operational framework for our new business line, with a strong emphasis on building, scaling, and leading an exemplary multi-jurisdictional banking operations function. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, establish functional systems, and ensure a robust operational foundation that supports a seamless, compliant, and highly efficient operational environment. Your responsibilities will include governance of Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and sponsor bank relationships, overseeing end-to-end customer operations, developing financial crime and risk frameworks, as well as ensuring operational readiness for growth. We are looking for applicants with 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in banking operations within a fintech, neobank, or regulated financial institution. A proven track record in BaaS or managed-services partnership models is essential. Candidates must possess deep expertise in US and UK payment systems, card operations, and treasury/reconciliation processes. A strong foundation in financial crime compliance and regulatory landscapes is also crucial. The ideal candidate will embody an entrepreneurial mindset, showcase excellent problem-solving abilities, and possess strong communication and influence skills across all levels of the organization.
