Pay Information $2,496 per week
About The Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Computed Tomography Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT (CT), State License Must-Have: Experience with biopsy, drains, interventional radiology, and stroke imaging Description: The department has two scanners. Staff may need to float to assist with transport and patient care in other areas. Floating to other areas in radiology is possible if the staff is certified. Imaging studies performed include inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, CTA, biopsies, stroke imaging, and coronary CTAs. On average, 45 scans are performed daily. The department utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records and picture archiving communication systems. Equipment includes Siemens 64 slice and 40 slice CT scanners with fluoroscopy capabilities. A Radiology Supervisor is present on day shifts. There are no Registered Radiology Assistants utilized. Radiologists are available in-house Monday through Friday during business hours. Images after hours are sent to teleradiology for review. Starting IVs is required, and a willingness to learn is accepted if not previously experienced. Scheduling is managed by a coordinator and supervisor. Every other to every third weekend is required. Holidays are also mandatory. Staff is expected to wear any color scrubs. One week of department-specific orientation is provided. Successful attributes include teamwork, friendliness, and a strong work ethic. Staff should take initiative to ensure tasks are completed. A radius rule applies for candidates, and conflict of interest with specific facilities is not permitted. Requests for time off must be communicated upfront, and additional requests will not be accepted after submission. The care setting is acute, and the trauma level is 2.
