About Our Client
Our client is a $350M food manufacturer based near Pleasant Prairie, WI, that has goals seen 300% growth over the past three years and they are not slowing down. The team is rapidly expanding across new plants and building out thier accounting and finance to focus. This organization is a great place to join and cultivate your experience in accounting and the food manufacturing industry!Our client is looking for a strong Assistant Controller with experience in integrated ERP tools to own the daily accounting functions for the organization, manage a team of four, and continue to establish best practices in accounting as they continue to expand.
Job Description
Lead the monthly financial close process across four manufacturing plants, integrating multiple accounting systems and managing foreign currency transactions Review and approve journal entries and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Oversee monthly account reconciliations and weekly bank reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement; develop trend analyses and quarterly lender reporting packages Partner with FP&A, operations, and plant finance teams to analyze variances and monitor financial performance Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to special projects to support business decision-making Support the annual external audit by preparing required documentation and coordinating with auditors Contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and standard operating procedures to enhance financial reporting and internal controls Identify and recommend process improvements, leveraging data and automation to increase efficiency and reduce complexity Assist in the design and implementation of new financial systems and reporting tools to drive operational excellence Provide leadership and mentorship to Senior Accountants, supporting their professional growth and development MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred ERP System Experience (i.e. SAP, Netsuite, Oracle, etc.) Leadership Experience What's on Offer
