Job Summary:

The Material Handler will distribute either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.

Responsibilities:

Move materials with equipment to support production processes.

Create kits of materials to align with upcoming build schedules.

Remove and dispose of non-production materials such as cardboard, dunnage, scrap, trash, and pallets.

Track material movements into and out of controlled locations

Complete basic computer transactions to transact movement of materials

Maintains the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures

Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner

Cycle Count materials

Organize materials for an orderly work environment

Moves parts or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations

Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling carts and or move items by WAVs cart and utility vehicles to and from warehouse

Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area

Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives

Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements

Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Provide guidance while ensuring a safe and productive work environment

Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory

Responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by receiving and transporting components to the manufacturing floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method, and sequence standards

Current forklift certification and or able to achieve within 30 days of hire

Previous experience with material handling equipment

Basic computer skills and basic math

Experience in warehouse or Manufacturing environment preferred
