Hope Communities
Volunteer Meal Kit Distribution
Hope Communities was founded in 1980 by a group of citizens concerned about the lack of decent, affordable housing in Denver. Beginning in the historic Five Points neighborhood, Hope Communities operated a single building of rental units that Denver families and individuals could afford; almost thirty years later, the organization's geographic focus has expanded to include the entire Metro Denver area, at a time where affordable housing has only become more critical. In addition to rental housing, Hope Communities also offers an array of programs and services designed to empower residents and build community. These include adult education, youth education, health and wellness programs, case management, and events to engage the entire community. Location: Virtual, to be dropped off at The Gardens at Hope Communities 4919 E Thrill Pl Denver, CO 80207. Position Information: Hope Communities, a non?profit providing support and affordable housing to intersectional communities across the Denver area, often distributes meal kits to residents in need. We need volunteers throughout the year to put together the ingredients for a full meal for individuals, seniors, and families. All ingredients should be shelf?stable; ideally, we would include a $10 Walmart or King Soopers gift card to allow recipients to buy fresh ingredients, but this is not required. Meals should include diverse sources of nutrition (grains, protein, and produce). You can make as many meal kits as youd like, and they will be distributed as the need arises. Please email
