Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a dedicated Associate Vice President of Financial Reporting. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of preparing and reviewing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant standards. You will coordinate the preparation of statutory financial reports for regulatory filing, analyze financial results to uncover trends and discrepancies, and guarantee the accuracy of reinsurance transactions and reporting related to life reinsurance contracts. As the AVP, you will lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare insightful internal management reports, and provide valuable financial insights to senior leadership. Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a preference for professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar. You should bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity, preferably within the reinsurance or insurance sector. A strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements is essential, along with excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools is crucial. Experience with life reinsurance contracts and transactions will be a plus.
