EDITOR - CONTENT TEAM (Unpaid Volunteer Position)

Reports To: Marketing Manager
Editor will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand’s narrative and voice across all content touchpoints. He/She will ensure every piece of content — from blogs and practitioner profiles to newsletters, event promotions, and wellness guides — reflects our brand’s authenticity, compassion, and integrity.
He/She will collaborate closely with writers, practitioners, and the marketing team to maintain editorial excellence, accuracy, and alignment with our conscious living values.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial Oversight:
Review and refine all written content including articles, practitioner spotlights, wellness resources, product descriptions, and event write-ups. Voice & Tone Consistency:
Uphold a compassionate, trustworthy, and empowering voice that resonates with our wellness community. Editorial Calendar:
Plan and manage the publishing schedule in coordination with the marketing and partnerships teams. SEO & Discoverability:
Edit with SEO best practices in mind to enhance content visibility and organic reach. Collaboration with Writers & Practitioners:
Guide contributors (internal and external) to align their submissions with editorial standards and brand messaging. Fact-Checking & Ethical Integrity:
Ensure all wellness-related claims are accurate, responsibly represented, and backed by credible sources or practitioner expertise. Content Workflow:
Oversee editing, approvals, and publication workflow for all content channels — web, social, and email. Performance Monitoring:
Track engagement metrics and collaborate with marketing on strategies to elevate content impact. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field. 5 years of experience in editing, content management, or digital publishing (preferably in wellness, lifestyle, or conscious living sectors). Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and tone. Familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics) and CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or similar). Strong understanding or personal interest in wellness, holistic health, mindfulness, and conscious living. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience editing or managing content in the
wellness, holistic health, lifestyle, or conscious living
industries. Understanding of
alternative healing modalities
(e.g., Ayurveda, Reiki, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, energy healing). Experience collaborating with
wellness practitioners, coaches, or holistic brands . Familiarity with
content marketing and storytelling
for community-based or platform-driven businesses. Strong sense of
ethical communication
in wellness — ensuring credibility, inclusivity, and compassion in content. Proficiency with
content planning tools
(Flowlu) and
marketing analytics platforms
(Google Analytics, GoHighLevel). Experience in
visual storytelling
or coordination with designers and social media teams. Awareness of
SEO and user intent
within wellness-related search trends. Certification or coursework in
wellness communication, holistic health, or digital marketing
is a plus.
