Job Description
Oversee all daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, and output targets Lead a team of 50+ production staff, fostering accountability and engagement Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and logistics to optimize line performance Manage labor planning, shift transitions, and production scheduling Support union relations and address employee concerns in a constructive manner Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across operations Monitor KPIs and deliver accurate performance reporting through ERP/MES systems Partner with sales and order management teams to align production with demand Train, develop, and mentor team members to strengthen leadership capability MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
A successful Production Manager should have:
Minimum 5+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical background preferred Demonstrated leadership skills in a high-volume industrial or packaging setting Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools Experience working in a unionized facility preferred Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Willingness to work occasional weekends or extended shifts as needed What's on Offer
