Director of Credit Reinsurance Join QBE Re as the driving force behind the strategic expansion and success of our Credit portfolio. As the Director, you will spearhead profitable business initiatives within a dynamic landscape. This includes the development and execution of a robust treaty underwriting strategy across various Credit lines such as Political Risk, Trade Credit, Surety, and Mortgage. You will refine current operations to ensure seamless processes that support our ambitious business objectives, while prioritizing sustainable growth. Location: NY New York City Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days in the office) The salary range for this role is between $210,000 - $315,000 depending on experience. Your key responsibilities include: Leading and managing underwriting efforts to ensure sound recommendations, while guiding your team in analyzing and evaluating reinsurance treaty portfolio opportunities to enhance overall profitability. Underwriting Credit treaty reinsurance in alignment with strategic business goals, including the negotiation of rates, terms, and conditions for both new and existing business. Building and nurturing strategic relationships with brokers and clients by actively engaging in consultations and addressing complex inquiries. Conducting strategic reviews and thorough analysis of the Credit treaty portfolio to track progress towards business objectives. Researching market intelligence to inform strategic decisions and enhance organizational profit goals. Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and developmental obligations for the team. Upholding underwriting standards to mitigate risk while maximizing efficiency. Contributing to accurate assessment and recording of Reinsurance risks in line with best practices. Fostering relationships with brokers and cedants to effectively meet their needs. Engaging with cedants to inform them of new products, ensuring communication about continuous improvement opportunities, and clarifying underwriting decisions. Participating in underwriting audits and presenting for new and renewal treaties. Contributing to special projects, including peer reviews and initiatives for product and process improvements. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience:

10+ years of relevant experience Preferred Skills: Exceptional technical underwriting and pricing expertise Strong market network with key stakeholders Proven leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team development Additional Experience: 10 years in Credit Lines reinsurance, including Political Risk, Trade Credit, Surety, and Mortgage Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications Experience in developing strategic underwriting frameworks Experience in managing, mentoring, or leading teams A history of increasing responsibility in your roles Licenses/Certifications: Progression toward or achievement of professional designations, including AFSB, CFA, CPCU, ARe, or any actuarial exams. Compensation Package:

The salary range for this role is provided above. The salary offer will be based on the role's complexity, location, and the candidate's professional background, including education and experience. Additionally, regular full-time and part-time employees may qualify for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
