Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type: Travel RN Location: Elizabethton, TN 37643 (Tennessee healthcare jobs) Facility: Community Hospital – Med/Surg Unit Start Date: November 16, 2025 End Date: February 15, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 (options for 36/36 or 36/48 schedule) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070 Rotating weekends and holidays required No call required Floating: Required (may float to Step-Down Care Unit/SCU) Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state (license in hand required at submission) Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical RN experience American Heart Association BLS certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred Experience with Epic electronic charting system required Ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced clinical setting Proficiency in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response/code teams, and peripheral line care Willingness to float to other units as needed Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Traveler's permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from hospital service area BSN required for international travel nurses Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, and more Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations Administer medications, manage oxygen therapy, and provide peripheral line care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Support and mentor nursing students as part of clinical education responsibilities Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR system Follow infection control and isolation protocols Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and compliance modules as required Apply now to join our healthcare team in Elizabethton, Tennessee and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
