Job Summary:
TruCut Incorporated is in search of a talented
Die Repair Technician
to become a vital part of our skilled trades team. The candidate we seek will possess extensive experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining progressive and transfer dies utilized in high-speed stamping operations. Responsibilities: Inspect, troubleshoot, and expertly repair stamping dies (progressive, line, and transfer). Disassemble and reassemble dies for repair and preventive maintenance efficiently. Utilize precision equipment such as surface grinders to sharpen, grind, and polish tool components. Diagnose and rectify die performance issues including misalignment, excessive wear, and dimensional inaccuracies. Assist with die tryout and setup on stamping presses when necessary. Maintain thorough documentation of repairs and modifications. Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure die performance aligns with specifications. Adhere to safety protocols and keep a neat and organized work environment. Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in Tool & Die Repair within a stamping environment. Ability to read blueprints and die drawings proficiently. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail. Expertise with manual machining equipment (grinders, mills, lathes). Experience working with progressive, line, and transfer dies. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong problem-solving capabilities and troubleshooting skills.
