Branch Manager

Summary:

Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders. Oversee daily operations at our store, supervise the operational and organizational standards of the store. Answers questions, provides information as needed. Generates sales through excellent customer service, add-on, and up-selling. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist customers at counter Provide customer information, accurately fill orders, and provide excellent customer service Data entry and retrieval on computer system, including entering customer orders, branch transfers, and inventory information Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory, applicability, and location of product in warehouse Effectively communicate relevant company/store policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, etc. Safely load and unload trucks (as needed) Accurately check in and store material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Report any material back orders and/or material discrepancies Perform inventory cycle counts and assist in year-end physical inventories Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays. Maintain appearance of warehouse as needed by continuous re-stocking, straightening, and cleaning Perform material handling equipment safety inspections as required Perform all duties in a safe manner Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions Hire, train, and oversee new staff. Requirements:

Valid drivers' license 2+ years warehouse management experience 2+ years flooring experience Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedure Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls Ability to operate forklift effectively Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Available to work extended hours

Abilities and Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, carry, or reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift to 25 lbs. The employee is frequently required to lift 50 lbs. The employee must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc. The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks. The employee is required to be able to safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
