Job Title: Recruiter – Janitorial Staffing Job Type: Full‑Time Shift Times: Monday–Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm (some evenings/weekends as needed) Starting Salary: $70,000 per year | Salaried employee Job Summary The bilingual (Spanish) Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified janitorial and maintenance staff to meet the company’s operational needs. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to use multiple recruiting platforms, and proficiency in Excel to manage employee data. The Recruiter will work closely with field supervisors and the HR team to ensure adequate staffing levels, support retention initiatives, and drive innovative strategies to strengthen our workforce. Responsibilities Post job openings on multiple platforms (Indeed, social media, company website, and job boards). Attend job fairs, community events, and partner with local agencies to build applicant pipelines. Build relationships with community organizations, staffing agencies, and workforce development programs. Review applications and conduct pre‑screening calls. Schedule and conduct interviews, in person and virtually. Coordinate with Operations and HR to match candidates to open positions. Schedule orientations, Livescan appointments, and pre‑employment screenings. Track candidate progress from initial contact to onboarding using digital tools. Maintain regular follow‑up with new hires to support retention goals. Use Microsoft Excel to track and filter employee data, maintain recruiting pipelines, and manage applicant information. Use Word for offer letters and reports, Outlook for communication with candidates and staff. Proficient with job posting and applicant tracking systems (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, social media, etc.). Use scheduling and onboarding apps to streamline hiring processes. Familiar with using Chat GPT (optional). Compose clear, professional emails to candidates and hiring managers. Provide clear onboarding instructions and expectations to new hires. Respond to applicant inquiries promptly, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience. Maintain accurate records of interviews, hires, and recruiting metrics for management. Ensure candidates understand company policies, safety protocols, and uniform requirements before assignment. Maintain compliance with all legal and company hiring standards. Communicate expectations clearly during onboarding to reduce safety and compliance issues. Keep an ongoing record of on‑call employees for temporary coverage. Use text blast platforms to communicate with employees regularly. Organize and prioritize tasks independently and meet deadlines. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in janitorial, facilities, or service industries. Must pass background check (Livescan) and pre‑employment drug/alcohol testing. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Strong time management and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Availability to support occasional weekend or evening hiring events. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and speak and hear. Occasionally required to lift to 20 pounds (files, recruitment materials). Must be able to travel between recruitment events, job fairs, and various locations as needed.
