Salary: Base pay range is $4,371.00 $5,748.00. Pay range does not include the temporary reduction associated with the 2025 Personal Leave Program (PLP). New state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range if applicable. Position Details: The Legal Secretary works under the Staff Services Manager (SSM I) to provide legal secretarial and clerical work for the CPUCs Intervenor Compensation Program. This includes properly formatting legal documents, checking case citations and decision references, ensuring correct legal procedures are followed, and meeting all filing deadlines and requirements. Location: San Francisco County, CA Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Department: Administrative Law Judge Division / Intervenor Compensation & Budget Unit. Department website: http://www.cpuc.ca.gov Responsibilities Format legal documents and ensure all legal and procedural standards are met. Check case citations, decision references, and other legal requirements. Coordinate filing requirements and ensure timely submissions. Assist in preparing the duty statement and other relevant policy documents. Maintain accurate and up?to?date records for all legal activities. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal secretarial or related clerical work. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in office software, including document formatting and database management. Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize work. Knowledge of legal terminology and processes is an advantage. Application Requirements Completed State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (or electronic equivalent).
