We are growing and have an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced
Concrete Construction Project Engineer
to join our team in Southwest Michigan. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for all on-site engineering requirements of the project. Must maintain familiarity and understanding of the project documents including changes. Acts for and on behalf of the Project Manager in his/her absence.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of concrete construction methods and materials with experience in general contracting.

Our project experience ranges from industrial buildings and manufacturing facilities to multistory structural concrete projects in both the public and private sectors.
Responsibilities
Maintain contract documents, posting and distribution of addenda, field orders, RFI’s clarifications and Requests for Proposal. Documents shall be updated weekly or more frequently as site conditions dictate.
Under the direction of the Project Manager, control the material and equipment expediting process including submittal, fabrication, release and delivery dates. Regularly verify delivery dates.
Attend preconstruction meetings with our Project Manager/Superintendent and design team and/or owner as required.
Work with our Project Manager/Superintendent, keep daily log of events and decisions, document the job history. Take daily, pre-pour and overall progress photos.
Coordinate Requests for Information to and from architectural engineer, owner, and other contractors and subcontractors.
Set up and manage all project controls logs including drawing, rebar, PT, pipe, QC, concrete and other logs as project circumstances dictate.
Qualifications
1-3 years of job experience in commercial construction preferred.
Associate or BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Thorough understanding of industry practices and standards.
