Classic CDJR Pineville is looking to add talented and detail-oriented technicians to our team. We are looking for individuals who are familiar with diagnosing and repairing vehicles in a dealership setting; providing excellent customer service and working professionally with colleagues and customers. Experience with CDK, electrical and driveability diagnostics, and PHEV vehicles a plus! Manufacturer training, insurance, 401K and one-on-one team accountability provided. Air conditioned shop built in 2016, potential for dual bays based on experience and flat hour turn rate, and advancement within the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Examine and diagnose vehicles based on customer's concerns and requests
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on light/medium duty vehicles
Inspect and perform work on underbody of vehicles
Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper working order and/or to evaluate degree of damage
Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both computerized diagnostic equipment, manually and per manufacturer guidelines
Determine appropriate repair measures based on diagnostics, peer-to-peer examination, and manufacturer guidelines
Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately, taking into account original repair strategy and customer specifications
Maintain a clean, safe working environment
Requirements and Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent work experience
Basic computer skills required
Certification in a related field from a vocational school a plus
Strong verbal communication skills (will be expected to relay auto repair information to customers and other mechanics)
Detail oriented, thorough, and organized
Physical strength and stamina, ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Critical thinking skills
Troubleshooting skills
Mechanically and analytically minded
