Principal Installation Support Design Engineer (SURF/Platforms)
Seeking a Principal Construction Support Engineer with a Mechanical or Structural Engineering background with strong fundamental engineering capabilities able to support operations for construction and installation of both offshore platforms and SURF installations. In addition, candidate must have capabilities to perform designs for vessel related appurtenances.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Experience performing design by using high quality hand calculations
Experience using MathCad, AutoCAD, Inventor, SACS, and ANSYS.
Experience in designing installation aids for platform and SURF installations such as platforms, leveling systems, lugs, padeyes, trunnions, rigging design, pull head design, etc.
Preparation of design basis, reports, design specifications, and construction and installation work procedures.
Experience in designing vessel modification, such as grillage design, misc. platform, equipment foundations, racks, handling frames, tiedown of mission equipment, and vessel reinforcement.
Conversant with one or more of the major offshore design codes (API, AlSC, ABS, DnV, ASME, etc.).
Experience in the installation and commissioning of mission equipment
Previous experience working offshore during the construction phase of subsea projects desired
Experience performing estimates for work packages and change orders
Essential Qualifications and Education: Minimum 15+ years’ experience with at least 7 years exposure within some of the following areas:
General structural or mechanical engineering design
Familiar with construction support activities
Vessel tie-down experience
Vessel and general structure design, Vessel construction and steelwork fabrication, and Classification society
Good understanding of Project Management principles
Good writing and communication skill
Minimum Engineering Degree qualification - Bachelors of Science in Civil or Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (master’s degree a plus)
