Job Details We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our dynamic Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AC/DC electrical systems, a solid understanding of solar technology, and experience in project management. This role will require the ability to work on complex electrical systems, including power grids, and handle equipment rated at 100A or above. Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with national and local electrical codes.
Diagnose and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits, including AC/DC and solar power systems.
Manage and oversee electrical projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal operation and prevent failures or accidents.
Design and implement electrical systems for new projects, considering factors such as cost, reliability, and sustainability.
Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure all electrical elements are integrated and functioning properly.
Train and mentor junior electricians, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices.
Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to keep our systems efficient and cutting‑edge.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician in the Engineering industry.
Proven experience with AC/DC, solar power systems, and power grids.
Experience handling electrical equipment rated at 100A or above.
Solid project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines in the electrical field.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and correct electrical problems promptly and effectively.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Valid electrician license or certification.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Proven ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
