Project Manager - Commercial Construction
Role Overview A leading Raleigh/Durham area commercial general contractor seeks an accomplished Project Manager to lead key projects from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to oversee high-visibility commercial work, collaborate with a skilled internal team, and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of a respected builder. The Project Manager will take ownership of all aspects of construction management – from budgeting and scheduling to client communication and field coordination – ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction planning through closeout
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and contracts
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors
Proactively identify and resolve project challenges to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration among all project stakeholders
Oversee project documentation, change orders, and reporting
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor
Demonstrated success delivering commercial ground‑up and renovation projects
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar platforms
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
