Description Perform scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft Egress, Environmental, and related systems. Perform flight line essential services as directed to the daily Flight Schedule. Routine lifting in excess of OSHA standards is required. Routine ordnance loading will require team lifts of ordnance items up to 167 pounds per team member, in accordance with standard USN procedures.
Shall have authority to direct Level I work center personnel to accomplish specific maintenance actions as required to meet maintenance tasks in accordance with Department of Labor Skill Code definitions. Responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts. Shall receive technical guidance from supervisors or higher-level technicians and may lead teams through complex aircraft tasks.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training courses are desirable.
Minimum of five years US Navy/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 series aircraft maintenance support experience.
Minimum of three years T/M/S aircraft maintenance experience for the specific T/M/S aircraft.
Five years O-Level experience in Aviation Ordnance.
Experience as T/M/S CDI or CDQAR is required.
O-Level T/M/S experience is required.
Experience maintaining electrical generators, load banks, starters, relays, batteries, actuators, circuit breakers, switches, weapons release, and control checks, aircraft weapons load, communications, navigation systems, and instruments.
Knowledge of automatic flight control, stabilization systems, weapons integration, and fuel systems.
Familiarity with circuits, work sequencing, tools, and testing instruments, with compliance to accepted practices.
Valid driver's license and active DoD Secret Security Clearance are required.
