Position Summary As an Experienced Automotive Technician, you’ll diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles to ensure peak performance and safety. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll use your skills in diagnostics, mechanical repair, and vehicle maintenance to help us deliver safe, reliable vehicles that exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities As our Experienced Used Vehicle Inspection Technician, you will:

Take ownership of inspecting, diagnosing, and preparing used vehicles for resale

Perform detailed multi‑point inspections on all incoming pre‑owned inventory

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and safety issues using advanced diagnostic tools (IDS, FDRS, etc.)

Document findings and recommend reconditioning or repairs

Ensure all vehicles meet Certified Pre‑Owned (CPOV), OEM, and state safety/emissions standards

Work closely with the reconditioning team and service advisors for efficient workflow

Maintain high‑quality control standards with minimal rework

Occasionally perform advanced repairs or lead complex diagnostic work

Requirements

2+ years of automotive repair experience (Required)

Valid driver’s license (Required)

Valid State Mechanic’s License and/or ASE Certification (Required)

Must be able to commute or relocate to Highland, MI prior to starting

Schedule

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed
